Make your own board game to take home in this fun workshop inspired by the children's book "Jumanji" by Chris Van Allsburg featured in our special exhibit "Young at Art: A Selection of Caldecott Book Illustrations." For ages 8-12.

Duo Extempore (Nicole Brancato and Evan Jagels) will lead a discussion highlighting their process of musical improvisation with their current project on Otsego County.

Explore the process of weaving and sculpting with cattails. Presented by a Native Interpreter at Fenimore Art Museum's reproduction Mohawk Bark House. The workshop includes a gathering, teatime, story-sharing, and weaving activities.

In this 2-day workshop, kids will learn how to combine illustration and writing to take one of their own ideas and create their own storybook. Join Manager of Arts Kevin Gray as he guides a tour through "Young at Art: The Caldecott Collection of Children's Book Illustrations" then teaches kids to create their own hand-bound book containing their story. For ages 9-14.
