Admission tickets are good for the entire day. Fenimore Art Museum opens at 10:00am.

Join us for an investigative journey into the Bull's Head Tavern Sign paintings by both Thomas Cole and Frederic Church, followed by a tour with Ann Cannon and Casey Monroe as they discuss the detective work involved in identifying the painters of the tavern sign.

In this fun workshop, students will paint their own wooden sign inspired by the Cole/Church Tavern Sign. All materials are included.

Application for Art by the Lake

Hone your camera skills in photographing candid family moments and impactful portraits using natural light in this four-day workshop with Manager of Arts Education, Kevin Gray. Participants will view the Linda McCartney Retrospective: From the Light exhibit. Suitable for those with cell phones, but optimized for those with digital SLR or mirrorless cameras.

In this fun workshop, kids ages 9-12 will learn the art and science of photography through a series of projects and experiments. Tips will be shared using the exhibition, The Linda McCartney Retrospective: From the Light. Cameras will be provided for the workshop, but feel free to bring your own digital camera.

Join our new Thaw Curator of Native American Art, Christina Burke, as she takes participants on a deep dive into the incredible collection of Indigenous art at Fenimore Art Museum.
